A Tennessee man allegedly stole a truckload of strawberries and crashed it into "several vehicles" on I-15 near Temecula, CA, all because zombies told him to do it. 19-year-old Jeremiah Hartline was arrested for stealing the truck when he saw it parked at a weigh station, then smacking into at least four cars and flipping the vehicle. He also tried to steal a vehicle that stopped to help him, proving how gracious he is. Police said he was "in an altered state" at the time of his arrest.

According to officer Nathan Baer, Hartline said he was being "chased by zombies," which motivated him to commit a crime. The original driver of the truck said he agreed to give Hartline a ride after he found him hiding in the truck, because that's safe. Seven people suffered injuries as a result of the crash, and Hartline was charged with hit-and-run and suspicion of theft.

Hopefully, he knows the zombies can't reach him in jail.
