A ridiculous weekend in New Brunswick, NJ has resulted in three Rutgers University students being arrested. Last weekend, Delafest was held as students celebrated lovely weather and seemingly eternal youth. The event, which was supposed to be a tame version of the traditionally problematic (and now defunct) Rutgersfest, turned into at least seven out of control parties which culminated in a couch being burned in the street for no good reason.

Youth and alcohol typically go hand-in-handcuffed-hand, so here's a breakdown of the arrests and charges, courtesy of The Daily Targum:

None

18-year-old Alec Urbano was also arrested for failure to disperse, assaulting an officer and resisting arrest. This black eye of an incident forced Gregory Jackson, interim vice chancellor of Undergraduate Academic Affairs, to issue a statement distancing the university from Delafest.

According to Jackson, the unsanctioned event "send[s] the wrong impression of our students, the vast majority of whom are focused on a strong finish to their academic year." The vast majority of those kids love a good time, too.
