"Street Fighter" Series Heads to Kickstarter For Your Help (Video)

Capcom gives their blessing.

We would love nothing more than to see a Street Fighter series with some real quality and care finally be made.

Joey Ansah is heading to Kickstarter to ask the people to help fund his planned Street Fighter: Assassin's Fist project. Ansah was behind the surprisginly watchable Street Fighter: Legacy live-action short film. He hopes to create a live-action series that would expand the Street Fighter universe and create a proper extension of the franchise.

"I believe that Street Fighter: Assassin's Fist will be the definitive live-action Street Fighter that fans have been waiting for and hoping to see," Ansah wrote on the Kickstarter page. "To realize this vision I need your help."

Capcom has even gone so far to give the project its blessing and wishes the team luck. The production team is asking for about $950,000 for a winter release. Watch the trailer and pitch in if you feel like it's a worthy cause. Let us know what you think of the project.
