Something snapped inside of a New York City man yesterday after he clubbed a police van with a tree branch in Central Park then dove into the Harlem Meer for an impromptu swim. According to the New York Post, he caused a 90 minute spectacle and it took 15 police officers to finally corral him.
Witnesses say that 25-year-old Alionme Dieng's episode began around 10:30 a.m. They also saw much more than him they planned on seeing. James Miller, who was unfortunate enough to witness everything, says Dieng "went in [the water] with shorts, but he didn't come out with shorts."
Just the typical afternoon in the city; no big deal.
