NYPD Arrests Teen for Attempted Central Park Robbery

Earlier this morning, the NYPD announced that it had arrested one of the young suspects who tried to rob a woman in Central Park. On Monday night, a 38-year-old woman was approached by two children who tried to steal her purse and cell phone. Both suspects ran off afterwards. 

Police apprehended the 13-year-old girl and charged her with attempted robbery. Police are still searching for the second suspect, described as a young boy no more than 11-years-old. They're also seeking a 14-year-old girl who was seen with the pair for questioning. They're asking anyone with information to call Crimestoppers at 800-577-TIPS or visit the website
