Kristen Wiig has a slew of movie projects in the works (Anchorman 2 anyone?), but we still yearn for her days on SNL. Every new cast on the long-running sketch show is lamented as worse than the last, but it still continues to produce bona-fide stars. Wiig and Andy Samberg left SNL last season and are looking at successful careers like Tina Fey and Jimmy Fallon before them.

“The show was seven years of my life and a six-day work week and you’re constantly with your friends all day, all night," she said at CinemaCon this week. “You sort of live and breathe the show. Then, when it’s over, you kind of feel a little lost… it was definitely an adjustment—even just the hours and [not] being in New York."

Fey has made similar comments about the end of 30 Rock, though even that's a different schedule than SNL. We definitely miss Wiig on SNL, but Bridesmaids showed that Wiig has tons of talent beyond spoofing Kathie Lee Gifford

She's also heading down to Atlanta soon to film Anchorman 2. Wiig plays the wife of Steve Carell's character. "I’m leaving in a few days to go film that. I’m so excited!” she said “I hope I can get through the scenes without ruining it by laughing! I’m so excited." So are we! Anchorman 2 hits theaters December 20.
