Jay-Z and Jada Pinkett Smith shelled out in support of Free Angela Davis and All Political Prisoners, a documentary celebrating the activist’s life and work. The film premiere at the Schomburg Center in Harlem drew a crowd of musicians, filmmakers, actors and media moguls.

Pepsi Pulse caught up with Pinkett Smith, one of the film's producers, director, Shola Lynch, Common,  and Angela Davis herself to talk about how to keep the spirit of struggle alive in 2013. The movie is in theaters now, cop tickets at AMC and check out the full video interviews on Pepsi Pulse.
