The premiere of FX's new drama The Bridge isn't for another few months - the series is still in production for a July premiere - but the network is already releasing a few teasers to build anticipation. Good news: It's working! These are just about as ominous and haunting as the American Horror Story: Asylum teasers were.

Four were released – they’re all short, with three clocking in at about 17 seconds, and one clocking in at 12, but they’re each cryptically intriguing in their own way. We don’t get any sense of what to expect plot-wise from the show, but we do get a good look at locations that are sure to make for some great cinematography.

As previously reported, the series is based on the Scandinavian crime drama Bron, and has essentially the same plot: Two detectives must work together to hunt down a serial killer. FX’s version has the killer working between the border of El Paso, Texas and Juarez, Mexico, while Bron was set on the Denmark/Sweden border. Diane Kruger and Demián Bichir star as the two detectives – Kruger’s character is working for the US, and Bichir’s is working for Mexico.

The series hails from Homeland writer/executive producer Meredith Stiehm, and Hawaii Five-O producer Elwood Reid. Miss Bala director Gerardo Naranjo directed the pilot episode.
