FBI Will Reportedly Release Images of Boston Marathon Bombing Suspects

Were the Internet detectives right?

None

Yesterday, the Internet was buzzing after reports that 4chan may have identified possible suspects responsible for the Boston Marathon bombing. That was followed by a media circus after an alleged arrest was reported, though that turned out to be inaccurate and embarrassing. Now the Boston Globe is saying that the FBI plans to release images of two suspects today.

According to the Globe, an unidentified source told them that the FBI has footage of two suspects were who were seen on videotape carrying black backpacks near the site of both explosions. The FBI still has not announced when it will release the images, and a source told CNN that the photos will not be made public out of "fear of impeding the investigation."

Hopefully, this is not another false alarm.
