Disney Wants to Release a New "Star Wars" Film Every Summer

That's a lot of Star Wars.

None

Presumably because they spent $4 billion on it, Disney isn't intending on letting their recent acquisition of LucasFilm go to waste: According to ComingSoon, beginning in 2015, the company is planning on releasing a new Star Wars film every summer for the foreseeable future. Just how long exactly 'foreseeable' is remains to be seen, but Disney did reveal at CinemaCon that the schedule would alternate between standalone films and Star Wars sequels.

So, basically, get ready for a whole lot of Star Wars. Hey, as long as one of those standalone films isn't about Jar Jar Binks, it can't possibly be that bad!
