Breaking Bad may be ending its five-year run this summer, but AMC doesn't seem to be ready to let the franchise go just yet. According to Deadline, the network is considering a spinoff centered around Bob Odenkirk's character Saul Goodman - the corrupt criminal defense lawyer who advertises his practice on late night television with the catchphrase, "Better call Saul!"
There are no deals in place for a series yet, but Breaking Bad creator Vince Gilligan is apparently working on the project with series writer-producer Peter Gould, as the two originally created the character together for a season two episode that Gould wrote. Though still in the early stages, the spinoff is being considered as a comedy rather than a heavy drama like Breaking Bad.
Considering his tagline, we could totally see some sort of real-world Ghostbusters thing going on with this show - instead of ghosts, though, he'd deal with exploding meth labs and stuff. "Who you gonna call? Better call Saul!" Get badass Walt Jr. involved too, and we've got ourselves a winner of a show.
