Bank of America is working to make long bank lines obsolete. It recently announced a new initiative to modify ATMs so customers can video chat with live tellers. The goal is to help people who find operating an ATM or completing certain transactions a bit too complicated.
The initial roll-out will reportedly beging in Boston, and will allow people to do things at ATMs that weren't before possible, like cashing a check. The ATMs will allegedly run far smoother than they have in the past.
Bank of America is also planning to offer functions such as deposit splitting, and cash back with credit card and loan payments.
