He certainly left his mark.

40-year-old Kenneth James Vanlue allegedly broke into the Department of Public Safety Driver LicenseOffice in Austin, TX, then wrote a message on the wall using feces. On the morning of Apr. 3, authorities responded to a call about a burglary. They arrived to find the building's front door smashed and the word "surcharge" smeared on the wall of the lobby.

That's not it. Various computers and other assorted items inside of the office were destroyed, and there was $9,000 worth of damage done to multiple vehicles in the parking lot. The only thing Vanlue didn't do was make a brilliant escape. He was there when police arrived (he was wearing a raincoat bearing DPS logos, but no shoes) and admitted to the crime.

He was charged with burglary, criminal mischief and simply being triflin'.
