There's no excuse for this.

24-year-old Rachelle Braaten, an early candidate for mother of the year, is in custody after allegedly allowing her 22-month-old son to take a hit from her bong—and recording it on video. Braaten, a resident of Centralia, WA, was arrested last Friday when an anti-crime team was discovered 40 marijuana plants in her home while investigating the boy's welfare. Braaten also faces charges for manufacturing marijuana and delivering a controlled substance to a minor as a result.

Though she seemed amused during the video, Braaten admitted that she felt "horrible" about it afterwards. "I guess it was a joke and a stupid mistake that wasn't really funny," she reportedly told police. Tyler Lee, who is the boy's father and Braaten's fiance, was also arrested after admitting to selling marijuana to a dispensary. Though he claimed he was not around when the video was filmed, he was charged for unlawful possession of a firearm.

Lee was released on Monday, but Braaten is still locked up on $5,000 bail. Both the little boy and Braaten's 5-year-old son have been taken by child protective services.
