Twitter Music Will Be All About Sampling

For now, at least.

As news keeps trickling out, we're beginning to get a sense of what Twitter Music will look like.

So far, we know it will feature integration with Vevo, the music video service, as well as SoundCloud and iTunes, among other third-party services.

But perhaps most interesting of all is that Twitter Music will be built around sampling, at least in its early stages. According to All Things D, SoundCloud can't play songs owned by large music publishers, while Apple can only share partial clips of songs in its stores. That pretty much leaves Twitter Music with no choice but to serve up samples of songs, at least until it happens upon a third-party provider who has more pull in the music biz.

Could Pandora integration be on the way? Seems doubtful, but you never know.
