Director: Spike Lee

There's a parking lot on Stuyvesant Avenue, between Lexington and Quincy in Bed-Stuy, where Sal's Famous stood during the shoot of Spike Lee's Do the Right Thing. You'll find no trace of the shoot, though there are still folks living on the block who remember when the camera crews came. The entire block is part of film history now, but the most iconic location is the fictional pizza place. the site of the race riot that is the film's bracing climax.-RS
