The combination of cute animals, a fashion show and a good cause is enough to melt any heart. On April 13, the 2013 Fashion for Paws Runway Show will take place at the National Building Museum in D.C. Once again, the event will be hosted by E! News Now anchor and E! News correspondent Ashlan Gorse.

This year, the event will honor Congressmen Jim Moran of Virginia and John Campbell of California with the 2013 Humane Hero Award, which highlights a select few in politics, media and entertainment for their concern about animal welfare.

D.C. residents can do their part by purchasing Fashion for Paws-inspired "pupcakes" at any Georgetown Cupacake in the D.C. area through Apr. 13, and all proceeds will go to the Washington Humane Society. Audi, an official sponsor for the event, will also act as the producer for the 2013 Fashion for Paws video.

Above is a photo of Miss Maryland USA Nana Meriwether strolling down the runway at last year's show. Tickets for the event can be purchased here.
