According to Gallup, D.C. is the happiest place in America. Well, not quite, but it is the leading metropolitan area with a population over a million when it comes to well-being. Here's how they define well-being:

None

D.C. scored 71.3 out of 100, just narrowly beating out the San Francisco-Oakland-Fremont area's 71 and San Jose-Sunnyvale-Santa Clara's 70.8. This good news should keep people happy and keep that well-being score relatively high.
