The Samsung versus Apple war is on.
The South Korea-based company has been preparing a watch for awhile, which can only spell rivalry for iWatch, the wristwatch-style device being developed by Apple.
“We are working very hard to get ready for it," said Lee Young Hee, executive vice president of Samsung’s mobile business. "We are preparing products for the future, and the watch is definitely one of them.”
No word yet on what features the watch will have, how much it will cost or when we'll be able to buy it. But judging by the advent of wearable computing, a trend that includes Google Glass, the competition won't be slowing down anytime soon. As Lee put it, "The issue here is who will first commercialize it so consumers can use it meaningfully."
