RZA has joined the cast of the upcoming Fox pilot Gang Related, The Hollywood Reporter is reporting.
The series focuses on a gang member named Ryan Lopez (portrayed by Charlie's Angels star Ramon Rodriguez) who is on a mission to infiltrate the San Francisco police department. He is soon assigned to the SFPD's Gang Task Force, and is forced to balance his obligations to his gang family with his obligations to his police family. RZA will play his cop partner and best friend on the task force, Cassius, who decided to become a cop after a girl he was in love with was killed. Fast & Furious writer Chris Morgan will pen the pilot.
It will be the first regular series role for RZA, who recently completed a guest-star stint on Californication as a rapper-producer-actor named Samurai Apocalypse.
This sounds awesome, but it'd be even better if it was an adaptation of Californication's Santa Monica Cop. Come on, who wouldn't want to see that?
