If you're in the market for a new smartphone, here's a spot of cool news: Apple's iPhone 5S could be out as soon as this August.
That's according to iMore's Rene Ritchie, who's learned the "iPhone 5S has the same basic design as the iPhone 5, with a more advanced processor and an improved camera." So, rather than giving its device an overall face-lift, the company focused its efforts on revamping "iPhone optics," or internal components— things consumers can't see.
In other news, Apple's also expected to release the next generation of iPads in April. iPad Mini casings have already been leaked online, but there's no word yet on Retina or any other "differentiator" that would set the device apart, says Ritchie. Either way, he feels certain the new gadget won't cost more than its predecessor or have a worse battery life.
