Ready Fight: Kamehameha Girl Photos Vs. The Hadouken

The video game world has seen its share of rivalries since the early days of coin operated arcade games: Billy Mitchell and his decades-long rivalry against Steve Wiebe in Donkey Kong; Nintendo throwing down against Atari in the home console wars; PlayStation going head-to-head with Xbox (a beef that continuesto this very day). Rivalries have a seemingly endless history in the world of video games.

So when the photos of girls in Japan performing imaginary Kamehameha attacks on each started to spread across the Internet, we began to wonder which would be more powerful—the Kamehameha of Dragon Ball Z, or its twin sister, the Hadouken from Street Fighter?

We decided to pit them both against each other for 15 rounds of comparison, seeing which photos (and fighters) would come out victorious. Grab a seat, see how it all went down, and try to avoid any flaming objects flying your way.

The Winner: Two masked school girls are nothing compared to everyone in the United States. Ryu's got this one with a super Hadouken with a chance of K.O.

The Winner: The red hoodie guy wins with more accuracy points although we could've sworn we saw that girl fly past the window just now.

Player 1: Smiling girl blows away another with a Kamehameha.
Player 2: A Ryu toy performing a Hadouken in a Mega Man world.
The Winner: First off, we love the artistry of Ryu in the Mega Man universe but if that girl's Kamehameha can launch someone that high in the air with a grin on her face, we don't want her coming after us.

Player 2: Stylish guy nails the other with a Hadouken blast.
The Winner: While both very powerful executions, we've got to give it to the schoolyard girl's Kamehameha over the Hadouken hipsters.

Player 2: Ryu blasts a Hadouken out of the game through the TV.
The Winner: Sorry octo-ass kicker, Ryu's got you beat. That was a pure warranty-voider if we've ever seen one.

Player 1: Girl fires a Kamehameha at another in a bedroom.
Player 2: A man and a woman shoot Hadoukens at each other in the street.
The Winner: We're going with the Kamehameha girls in the bedroom on this one. Something must have seriously gone down to unleash such a powerful blast at home. Maybe someone didn't have their share of the rent money.

Player 1: Single girl performs a sideways Kamehameha on two others.
Player 2: Jermey Lin Hadoukens everyone.
The Winner: The Hadou-Lin Kamehameha destroys the school girl although she does get bonus points for style.

Player 1: School girl does a Kamehameha in a hallway.
Player 2: Two guys Hadouken each other in a pool.
The Winner: The two guys Hadouken-ing it up win. That school girl's Kamehameha just wasn't convincing enough to take it.

Player 2: A douchebag Hadoukens a woman into the water.
The Winner: Schoolgirl's Kamehameha wins. Had her sandals flown off, it would've been a perfect victory.

Player 2: One man does a Hadouken against a tree.
The Winner: The girl in the street's Kamehameha wins, since trees can't fight back.

Player 1: A girl bangs out a Kamehameha on a large group.
Player 2: Ryu from Street Fighter executing a Pac Man ghost Hadouken on a tshirt.
The Winner: A close one, but the Kamehameha takes it with the girl's extrordinary power. Her prize, a tshirt of Ryu performing a Hadouken with a Pac Man ghost.

Player 1: Girl performs a Kamehameha on another.
Player 2: A guy firing a Hadouken drawn on a blackboard.
The Winner: Blackboard Hadouken wins. Class over.

Player 2: Hadouken Cat.
The Winner: Hadouken Cat. Not even Akuma's "Demon Rage" could top that.

The Winner: The dancer's Kamehameha wins by landslide off sheer coolness.
