Three meathead body-builders hatch a kidnapping scheme to try to get rich quick, only to end up botching the job and becoming fresh targets themselves. Sound a little outlandish? Well, welcome to Florida.
Based on the true story of the "Sun Gym Gang," Pain & Gain follows two super-buff, down-on-their-luck gym rats (Mark Wahlberg and Anthony Mackie) who solicit the help of an even more ripped recently-paroled ex-con (Dwayne Johnson) in order to abduct and rip-off a wealthy douche (Tony Shalhoub) of his massive wealth. Despite putting their pecs together and being armed to the teeth, the boys quickly find that they're in a bit over their heads when it comes to the extortion game. As they say, the best laid plans of muscle-bound men often go astray, and the brawny boys realize their recent gain is going to cause them some serious pain.
With an all-star cast that also features Ed Harris, Rebel Wilson, Ken Jeong, and Rob Corddry, Pain & Gain is a hilarious, action-packed thrill-ride brought to you by the one and only Michael Bay.
