New York Woman Accused of Stealing Power Saw By Stashing it Under Her Skirt

She's very lucky she escaped injury. 55-year-old Staten Island, NY resident Barbara Curbelo has been accused of stealing a power saw from a Lowe's. Her means of transporting the the tool out of the store: She hid it under her skirt. Curbelo told SILive "I put it between my thighs. I sell it to buy food."

Police say that she removed the $145 DeWalt power saw from the shelf, then slipped it under her skirt and slipped out of the store. The New Brighton resident was promptly arrested, and it was revealed that she has 14 priors dating all the way back to 1999 for charges such as stolen property and drug possession.

Curbelo's been charged with attempted petit larceny and attempted criminal possession of stolen property.
