Thanks to ORIGOsafe, parents can sleep easy knowing their kids will no longer be able to text while driving. What is ORIGOsafe? Essentially it is a smartphone dock that prevents your car from starting unless the phone is placed inside.
In case of emergencies, the phone does not actually lock inside of the dock, making it accessible if need be. However, if it is taken out, it will trigger an alarm until you either put it back, or put the car in park.
Don’t worry kids, you can still use the Bluetooth connection to make and receive phone calls. ORGIOsafe is just a way to ensure your eyes stay on the road. Unfortunately, this product is only available for the Samsung Galaxy S3, with plans to expand to other smartphones shortly.
