Joseph Gordon Levitt goes Jersey in his new movie Don Jon, which he also wrote and directed. It's screening at SXSW after a successful opening at the Sundance Film Festival.

JGL stars as Jon, "as Jersey kid obsessed with three things: chasing women, pumping iron, and watching (lots and lots of) pornography." It was previously called Don Jon's Addiction, and we're guessing that's why. He wrote on his Facebook page that he changed it in favor of "brevity."

I've decided to change the title of the movie I wrote & directed to #DonJon. And the 1st prod. still of Tony Danza! facebook.com/photo.php?fbid…

It's "a comedy about how men and women treat each other, and how the media we consume can create unrealistic expectations that we put on one another. That's why the story centers around a relationship between a young man (played by me) who watches too much pornography and a young woman (played by Scarlett) who watches too many romantic Hollywood movies. It's a topic I personally find fascinating and hilarious."

He realizes he needs to change after meeting Barbara Sugarman (yep), played by Scarlett JohanssonDon Jon also stars Julianne Moore and Tony Danza as Jon's father, but it doesn't have a set release date yet.
