Last Thursday, a two-year-old was shuttled to Ukiah Valley Medical Center after his grandmother noticed that he reeked of alcohol. He was subject to tests at the hospital, which revealed that not only was he under the influence of alcohol, but he was also high on meth.
Authorities went straight to the Philo, CA home of the boy's mother, Samantha Delvalle, and found her and her boyfriend, Raymond Mabery, with the incriminating bottles of liquor and drug paraphernalia. The 22-year-old Delvalle and the 21-year-old Mabery were swiftly arrested for possession of drug paraphernalia, drug intoxication and suspicion of child endangerment.
Mabery was released on Tuesday, but Delvalle is still in Mendocino County Jail. The boy's biological father currently has custody of the child.
