We know—you guys can't wait to get your hands on the latest Goop newsletter! This week, founder Gwyneth Paltrow took on some of her favorite (and least favorite) red carpet dresses. The most memorable? That goth Alexander McQueen she wore at the 2002 Academy Awards, sans bra.

"I started being photographed in the 90's so of course there are a few glaring ones [fashion faux pas]," she wrote and mentioned a too-casual Calvin Klein she wore to the Oscars in 2000. "Also, the goth Alexander McQueen I wore a few years later. There were a few issues; I still love the dress itself but I should have worn a bra and I should have just had simple beachy hair and less makeup. Then, it would have worked as I wanted it to—a little bit of punk at the Oscars."

The dress was a controversial choice at the time, especially for a Best Actress winner (Paltrow won in 1999 for Shakespeare in Love). It routinely makes Worst Oscar Dresses lists, right up there with that Björk swan getup.

The white Tom Ford dress/cape combo Paltrow wore last year is one of her favorites, though. We agree—the cape was a risk, and she looks great. She stars next in Iron Man 3 as Pepper Potts, out May 3.
