To celebrate the arrival of spring, Rita's Italian Ice will give away free water ice today. Rita's has been celebrating the first day of spring with the free giveaway since 1992, and every location across the nation will participate from noon until 9 p.m. According to the company, 1.2 million cups of water ice were given away in just 10 hours last year. Rita's anticipates that it will make hand-to-hand's with 1.5 million customers this year.
