Two Florida high school students have been arrested after a sexual episode occurred in the school library on Mar. 11. According to authorities in Pasco County, FL, a 17-year-old boy and a 15-year-old girl had sex in the library of Fivay High School. Little did they know that their tryst was recorded by a 15-year-old boy using his cell phone, and he may have shared it with other students.
The 17-year-old was arrested yesterday for lewd and lascivious battery. Though the 15-year-old girl says the sex was consensual, authorities say her age makes it a crime under state law. The 15-year-old boy was arrested for creating and transmitting child pornography, and police say anyone in possession of the video could also be arrested.
Speaking with ABC News, Pasco County Sheriff Chris Nocco said "Having this thing go viral would have been horrendous, because what we are doing. Being proactive, we are going to send a message to anybody involved who committed a criminal act, they are going to be arrested," he added.
Regardless of the incident's severity, students are still amused. "This guy will remain a legend at Fivay forever," one student wrote on Twitter. Kendrick was right—ignorance is bliss.
