Dylan McDermott Dermot Mulroney is returning to New Girl. He is set to appear in an April episode, presumably after Jess and Nick's post-kiss awkwardness has died down.
Jess (Zooey Deschanel) dated the sophisticated father of one of her students, Russell (Mulroney), last season. He was lovingly dubbed "Fancyman" by the very un-fancy Nick (Jake Johnson). Hopefully this also means a return of the crew's drinking game, True American.
Nick and Jess probably aren't going to end up together, according to the actors and writers (thanks for ruining our lives, Liz Meriwether), but we wouldn't mind her getting back together with Russell. We also loved Nick's unabashed love for the Fancyman.
New Girl's on a mini-hiatus and will return March 12 on FOX.
