Numerous witnesses have reported seeing a dolphin swimming in the East Rivernear 96th Street. Keep in mind that this is not only the most heavily trafficked channel on the Eastern seaboard, it's also the most contaminated. The dolphin was first spotted around 10 a.m., and the NYPD is reportedly trying to guide it.

If you're worried about this being one of the dolphins armed with a knife or gun that is trained to kill, don't—it's not one of those dolphins. But if you're generally concerned for the dolphin's safety, we totally understand. Hopefully, this dolphin doesn't end up like the one who died after getting caught in the Gowanus Canal in January.
