The MTV Movie Awards are, shall we say, a bit looser than the rest of awards season. They're more fun, they're less serious, and they gave us this fantastic moment:

It also gives a chance for some maybe-not-Oscar-worthy but fantastic in their own right films to get some recognition (although they always randomly through in fancy nominees like Daniel Day-Lewis, who we really doubt wants or cares about an MTV Movie Award).
