Get ready to feel like it's 1991 again! According to EW, Clarissa Explains It All is coming back into all of our lives very soon - this time in book form! Mitchell Kriegman, who created the early 90's Nickelodeon series which starred a pint-sized Melissa Joan Hart, is penning a book based on the fashion-forward, witty teen, titled Things I Can't Explain. Instead of picking up where the show left off in 1994 with Clarissa as a spunky 17-year-old, though, the book will revisit Clarissa's life when she's 23-year-old and working as a journalist. From the summary:
None
As EW points out, the plot sounds a lot like what would have been the spin-off Clarissa series, Clarissa Now, had CBS picked it up in 1995. Sadly, the show never made it to air, but a pilot for the series - featuring Clarissa as an intern for a NYC newspaper - did pop up online a few years ago.
