Continuing it's tradition of high-profile graduation speakers, Howard University announced today that Bill Clinton will speak at this year's commencement ceremony. In a press release, university President Sidney A. Ribeau said “His extraordinary global work and commitment to public service will inspire the class of 2013 as they prepare to make their mark on the world." The ceremony is scheduled for May 11.

Clinton, the 42nd President of the United States, was the first president to come from the baby boomer generation and the third youngest president to be elected. As the Washington Post hilariously notes, this likely trumps actress Kerry Washington speaking at her alma mater, George Washington University. However, President Obama will speak atMorehouse College's commencement in May. That's nothing to dismiss.
