It's no secret. Monthly data plans can be expensive. All you gotta do is look at your own phone bill to know that. Now, Verizon Wireless is trying to address the problem by creating two prepaid plans in an effort to save their customers some extra coin.
Yesterday, Verizon announced the plan which will "run on the Android, BlackBerry or iOS operating systems, such as the Samsung Illusion, the HTC DROID Incredible 2 and most BlackBerry models." Customers can opt for either the $60/month plan that will "provide unlimited talk, unlimited texts and 500 MB of data" or $70/month which offers "2 GB of data in addition to unlimited talk and texts." And don't feel like you're limited on your smartphone options because, according to the company blog post, "A new smartphone isn’t necessary to take advantage of the prepaid plans. Often, a no-longer-used smartphone sitting in a drawer at home can be activated on a prepaid plan with no annual contract."
