Being CEO of Apple has many perks, but very few of them top being able to sit shotgun next to First Lady Michelle Obama during the State of the Union address. That's exactly where Tim Cook will be tonight when President Obama delivers his address tonight at 9 p.m.

Of course, being the wife of the guy that founded the seminal company also has perks. Last year, Steve Jobs' widow, Laurene Powell Jobs, was invited to sit next to the FLOTUS.

Why exactly is Apple getting so much love from the Obamas? The LA Times reckons it has something to do with the company being one of the most valuable companies in the world and it planning to jump start production of Macs here in the U.S.

We think it's because the Obama's love the iPad. But who's to say?

So, what about America's other behometh tech brand, Google? They're getting some love, too. Just not as much. YouTube will be living streaming the State of the Union address tonight and the Obama Administration is holding a Google Hangout on Thursday 2/14 to answer public questions.
