This Flu Epidemic Has Caused an Increase in Orange Juice Sales

Something good came out of the flu.

None

If there's any upside to this flu epidemic that's struck the U.S., it's that orange juice sales have increased. Despite a 1.8 percent spike in cost, sales for OJ have increased by 5.5 percent this flu season. This is also marks the first time that orange juice sales have jumped in two years.

Of course orange juice is popular during flu season because of the high amount of Vitamin C that it contains. Gothamist also notes that the Greater New York area is the country's largest market for orange juice. So, basically, if you're sick in New York, you're in better shape than most people, solely based on orange juice's popularity.
