Ever since it looked like Up All Night would hit the chopping block, Will Arnett has been a hot commodity during pilot season. NBC has still not cancelled the series, despite Christina Applegate's departure and Maya Rudolph's pregnancy.

Unless they force him to stay with a contract obligation, Arnett has signed on to star in Greg Garcia's (Raising Hope, My Name is Earl, Yes Dear) untitled and "unauthorized" CBS comedy. He'll play the recently divorced Jack, who is also dealing with the marital issues between his parents (no word on their casting yet).

We can't imagine why NBC is still holding on when the stars and writers clearly want to leave. It wouldn't be fair to make them return to what is sure to be an empty shell of the show it was. At least we only have to wait a few more months to see Arnett back on Arrested Development as magician illusionist G.O.B. Bluth.
