There's plenty to love about the New York Times, but sometimes their trend pieces are just a little too obvious. Like, we know the rent is too damn high in Manhattan and that de-friending isn't just for Facebook. And, anyone living in Brooklyn has probably noticed the men sport scraggly beards and the occasional hair bun.
Because the pieces take an almost scientific look at our world (as if we're living in one giant petri dish), sometimes it's fun to call out the Times for being, well, behind the times. That's why we're big fans of the Twitter parody account, @NYTOnIt, who coined the phrase, "Guys, the Times is on it."
