In this Danish melodrama, Mads Mikkelsen plays Jacob Pederson, a humanitarian living in India and working with a struggling organization for impoverished children. He receives an offer for some much needed funding from a businessman in Denmark, so he travels home to make a pitch, only to find that he may never make it back to India. To reveal much more would spoil the gut-wrenching turns in a masterful motion picture.
