According to authorities in San Antonio, a group of young adults tried to blame an accidental shooting on a fictional "Hispanic male" after one of them took a bullet to the back. The group—three men and two women—were sitting in a vehicle by the Las Colinas Apartments after picking up a gun, for whatever reason.
A 19-year-old male was reportedly "handling the gun in a reckless manner" when it discharged, sending a bullet into the lower back of a 20-year-old woman. Emergency responders rushed the woman to a hospital where she's currently in stable condition.
Her friends reportedly told police that she was shot by a Hispanic male during an attempted robbery. Further interrogation proved this story to be a lie, and the real suspect was found hiding behind the apartment complex. He was charged with aggravated assault with a deadly weapon and evading arrest.
