There are 300,000 cases of gonorrhea reportedly annually, making it the second most common STD in the U.S. The CDC also says that an STD epidemic is taking place in America, with 110 million STD diagnoses and 20 million new diagnoses happening each year. 

The only way to be safe is to practice safe sex and get tested on a regular basis. That still doesn't ease the anxiety, though.
