Last November, the cast of MTV'sJersey Shore hosted a benefit to raise money for the town of Seaside Heights, NJ after it was damaged by Hurricane Sandy. Now, city officials want to use the $1 million to build a seawall that will protect its boardwalk from other potential disasters.

According to administrator John Camera, the wall could cost as much as $2 million. Camera adds that Seaside Heights is unable to use money from FEMA because the wall would be a new project. Also, using money from the benefit would lift the burden from the shoulders of taxpayers, which is something they'll be very glad to hear.
