Sarah Michelle Gellar's drama Ringer only lasted one season, but Buffy fans can relax: she's joined the cast of a CBS comedy with Robin Williams. Crazy Ones stars Williams as the "brilliant" head of an ad agency; Gellar plays his daughter and the agency's creative director.

Williams got his big break on TV as an alien in the 1978 Happy Days spinoff, Mork & Mindy. He's been a guest star on tons of shows since then—he nabbed an Emmy nom for Law and Order: SVU—but this will be the first time he's a series regular since Mork & Mindy ended in 1982.

Crazy Ones will be written and executive produced by David E. Kelley, the TV vet who created The Practice, Boston Legal, and Ally McBeal; he was also the writer behind L.A. Law. Gellar's done comedy before (Buffy was on both sides of the line, and we aren't going to mention Scooby Doo) but we think this is a pretty new direction for her. It will be amusing to see whether she and Williams can pull off good father-daughter chemistry.
