Early this morning, the NYPD says that several bags containing dismembered body parts were found lying on a sidewalk in the Bronx. According to the New York Daily News, a dog walker knew something was terribly wrong once a woman's leg was seen sticking out of a duffel bag around 5 a.m.. CBS says that police found at least four different bags containing body parts such a head, torso, foot, leg and hand.
According to DNAinfo, police are convinced that the body parts belong to a woman reported missing two days ago. Police sources say that a man came to the 40th Precinct this morning carrying a photo of his mother, who happened to live near the scene of the crime.
Police have reportedly matched the photograph with the body parts, and will question the woman's son and ex-husband about her disappearance and death.
