Tyrion Lannister, known outside of Westeros as Peter Dinklage, is headed to X-Men. According to Deadline, the actor has signed on to portray "a key role" in the next film, Days of Future Past. It's unclear who exactly he'll be playing, but the New York Daily News reports that there are rumors he'll be portraying Puck - nothing more than Dinklage's participation has been confirmed, however.
In addition to Deadline, X-Men: Days of Future Past director Bryan Singer confirmed the news of Dinklage's casting on his Twitter, saying:
Officially like to welcome #PeterDinklage from #GameOfThrones to #XMEN #DaysofFuturePast Very very excited!
Considering how badass Dinklage is in his role as Tyrion, this is excellent news for the film, which will also star Hugh Jackman, Patrick Stewart, Ian McKellen, James McAvoy, Michael Fassbender, and everyone's new best friend Jennifer Lawrence. More on this as it develops.
