A teacher at John F. Kennedy High School in Paterson, NJ has been arrested after using Facebook and a $50 offer to lure a student to a restaurant parking lot for sex. Thomas Weir, who has taught at the school for 21 years, was busted by the sheriff's Internet Crimes against Children Unit on Saturday night in the parking lot of a Passaic County restaurant parking lot after allegedly offering the student $50 for "sexual acts."

Passaic County Assistant Chief Prosecutor Joseph Del Russoexplained that Weir used Facebook's instant messaging feature to reach out to contact the boy. The 50-year-old Weir has been charged with luring or enticing a child, endangering the welfare of a child, attempted sexual assault and official misconduct.
