It's "the end of an iconic American brand."
Or as some would say, the end to a long-running headache.
Muzak, better known to music enthusiasts as Kenny G on slow-jam, is finally dead. The company got bought out by Ontario-based Mood Media last year, who will rebrand it simply as Mood. (Seems fitting since it always put us in a bad one, but we digress ...) The buyout cost a cool $345 million.
The quote comes from Mood Media's chairman and CEO, Lorne Abony, who mourned its passing on Tuesday.
