McDonald's locations northwest of Chicago are making customers very happy for the time being. Rockford, IL locations are serving lunch, dinner and breakfast items as part of their "McDonald's After Midnight" menu from midnight to 4 a.m. At 4 a.m., the menu will switch to a breakfast-only menu until 10:30 a.m., when the kitchen switches to lunch.

This is different from the "Breakfast After Midnight" experiment that McDonald's tried in Ohio last summer and is reportedly playing around with at some Southern California locations. In that program, participating stores serve a limited breakfast menu from midnight until 4 a.m.

The Rockford project offers a breakfast menu, as well as the lunch/dinner menu with the Big Mac, the Quarter Pounder with Cheese and the Double Quarter Pounder with Cheese. In addition, Chicken McNuggets will be available in quantities of 6, 10 and 20 pieces, and fries will be available in small, medium and large sizes. The McCafé will even be available, as well as other deserts.

McDonald's hopes this will be able to satisfy all customers until 4 a.m.
